Martin Shell, vice president of the Office of Development, will present a report on fundraising trends and practices at Thursday's Faculty Senate meeting.
The meeting is the fourth – and last – meeting of autumn quarter.
Shell will speak for 15 minutes and answer questions for another 15 minutes.
Ann Arvin, dean of research, and Katharine Ku, director of the Office of Technology Licensing, will present a report on the role of intellectual property in universities and university/industry partnerships.
The senate has set aside an hour for their presentation, including a Q&A.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. in Room 180 of the Law School.
Discussion is limited to members of the senate, but members of the Stanford community may request to attend the meeting by contacting Trish Del Pozzo, assistant academic secretary, at 723-4992, or delpozzo@stanford.edu.
