Yale College admits all students without regard to their ability to pay, a policy called “need-blind admissions,” and provides the full demonstrated financial aid to all admitted students, whether they are from the United States or another nation.
As the charts on financial aid reflect, the percentage of students receiving financial aid scholarships from Yale has been increasing. In addition, the increase in financial aid funding has far outstripped the increase in the cost of attending Yale.

Applicants to Yale College have nearly doubled in the last decade, and the admit rate has declined accordingly. Yale has committed to expanding Yale College in the future to allow more qualified applicants to receive a Yale education.
